Ever Wanted to Try Mindfulness, But Been Put-Off by Courses that are Too Long?
Purple Lotus is delighted to offer mindfulness taster sessions, designed to introduce you to the benefits of practising mindfulness in everyday life.
These short, 40 minute sessions provide a welcoming and supportive space where you can explore simple yet effective techniques that may help reduce stress, enhance your focus, and promote overall wellbeing.
Each session starts with a simple introduction to what mindfulness is and you’ll have the opportunity to experience at least one guided meditiation and/or mindfulness exercise.
Our aim is to help you discover practical tools that can be easily incorporated into your daily routine, empowering you to handle life’s challenges with greater calm and clarity.
No prior experience is needed—just an open mind and a willingness to give it a try!
We encourage you to come along, take a moment for yourself, and see how mindfulness might be able to make a positive difference in your day-to-day life.
Please note the sessions are slighly different, so feel free to come to more than one.
Pending demand, more taster sessions could be added throughout the year, so just ask!
Frequently Asked Questions
What technical equipment will I need?
You will need access to a tablet/laptop/computer (attending the course via a smartphone does not tend to work very well.) You will need a reliable internet connection.
Don't worry if you are unfamiliar with Zoom, resources will be provided to enable you to undertake a test session, and your teacher will be available to support you.
Why are the training sessions recorded?, and who else will have access to the recordings?
The sessions are recorded to enable the ongoing evaulation of your teacher, and will be shared with an OMF supervisor. They will never be used for any other purpose, and will be destroyed once evaluation is complete.
Do I need to have an established mindfulness practice or have attended a mindfulness course to attend?
No, these sessions are designed for those with no experience of mindfulness.
